The SET for September 2027 entry took place on 15 September 2026. Registration closed on 31 July. Invited girls take the joint NWSSEE on 26 September; the shared boys’ second stage is on 3 October. A test registration is separate from your council school application, due by 31 October 2026.

Sutton’s second stages are written English and maths, not another SET multiple-choice paper. The girls’ NWSSEE English paper is composition, with no comprehension paper. The boys’ public guidance does not fix an exact composition/comprehension split. Prepare for your child’s route rather than buying an undifferentiated “Sutton Stage 2” paper.
Sutton Grammar requires SET qualification and the shared boys’ second stage. Its 2027 policy adjusts both stages for age and IDACI income deprivation. Do not borrow Wilson’s 1:2:2 formula: Sutton Grammar’s policy must be read on its own terms.
For Wilson’s 2027 entry, the combined weighting is SET : second-stage English : second-stage maths = 1:2:2. Candidates must pass each second-stage paper and the overall standard. The ratio is not a formula for converting a home practice percentage into an offer.
Yes. For September 2027 entry, Wallington County Grammar School uses SET and the shared boys’ second stage. The current policy combines standardised SET and second-stage results in a 2:3 ratio. Descriptions of Wallington County as a one-stage route are out of date for this cycle.
Nonsuch uses SET followed by the joint NWSSEE with Wallington Girls. NWSSEE English is composition, not a comprehension paper, and official specimen papers are not provided. Nonsuch’s 2027 policy uses a 5.25km catchment alongside ranked and priority categories; passing the tests does not guarantee a place.
Wallington High School for Girls shares SET and NWSSEE with Nonsuch, but it has its own admissions priorities. Its 2027 policy uses a 6.7km catchment, with ranked places available irrespective of address and separate priority conditions. Do not apply Nonsuch’s distance rule to Wallington Girls.
