Wilson's ranks boys on the SET, second-stage English and second-stage Maths in the ratio 1:2:2, after an adjustment for age: the SET is one fifth and each second-stage paper two fifths. Both papers and the overall pass mark must be passed.

How does Wallington County combine the two stages?

Its 2027 admission arrangements say the total standardised score is two fifths from the SET total score and three fifths from the second-stage total score.

How does Sutton Grammar work out its final score?

Its FAQ says the four standardised scores (SET English, SET Maths, second-stage English, second-stage Maths) are weighted 2:2:3:3, an age allowance is added and the total is rounded to the nearest four marks. There is no separate second-stage pass mark.

How do Nonsuch and Wallington Girls add the scores?

The NWSSEE FAQ says the final total is the SET score, re-standardised and divided by 2, plus the standardised English and Maths second-stage scores. Both papers must be passed, and girls who pass are told they are eligible but not given their scores.

Method

Each school's rule is taken from its own 2027 admission arrangements or FAQ, word for word in the sources.
The share of each paper is the published ratio: 1 : 2 : 2 at Wilson's, two fifths and three fifths at Wallington County, 2 : 2 : 3 : 3 at Sutton Grammar, and three equal parts at Nonsuch and Wallington Girls.
Where the whole rule is published, the scores you enter are put through it: 0.4 × SET total + 0.6 × second-stage total at Wallington County.
Nonsuch and Wallington Girls use SET ÷ 2 + Maths + English, but re-standardise the SET score first by a method they do not publish, so the total from your own SET score is labelled an estimate.
Sutton Grammar adds an age allowance it does not publish and rounds to the nearest four, so only the weighted sum before that step is shown. Wilson's does not publish the scale of each score, so no total is worked.

Uncertainty and limits

Schools set pass marks after marking. Sutton Grammar, Nonsuch and Wallington Girls do not send passing candidates their second-stage marks.
